We have a variety of tours that last from as short as an hour and fifteen minutes to as long as two hours. For example, The Ghosts of Charleston tour lasts approximately 80 minutes. We walk at a leisurely pace. We recommend you wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if it is raining.

Yes. Keep in mind, however, that this activity contains eerie ghost tales and stories of death. If you feel that your child is easily frightened, they may not enjoy the tour. We do not employ hokey scare tactics such as jumping out from the bushes or corny theatrics. What we are talking about on tour is real.

The tour takes place rain or shine. In the rare event of severe weather conditions, we may contact you about rescheduling possibilities. Otherwise, please dress appropriately for the day’s weather.

Yes. But please keep in mind Charleston is a 349 year old city, so you will find it challenging to travel on the cobblestone streets and slate sidewalks.

Street parking can be difficult to find. To avoid the risk of tickets or towing, we recommend you park in a Parking Garage. The garage closest to the tour starting point is located at 93 Queen Street Garage just around the corner from Buxton Books and Tour Charleston Headquarters where tours begin. City Garages accept cards and have public restrooms.

To keep your experience authentic, we prefer to keep our groups small and intimate. On our busiest days, the maximum number of guests that we allow per guide is 20.

Yes, we welcome small to mid-size, well behaved dogs on the tour. Keep all dogs on a leash or in a carrier. If they bark or misbehave, please walk them away from the tour until they stop.
